Case Study: High-Tech Window Upgrades with Historic Charm

When Sonoran Sun wanted to convert a former restaurant from the 1930s into an energy efficient commercial office space in Coolidge, AZ they turned to True View. The building is a large, historic, 6,800 square foot, two-story brick building with an attached warehouse.

In order to retain the charm and feel of the historic brick masonry building, True View installed bronze anodized, center glazed storefront glass and replaced the windows with bronze reflective solar cool ¼” glass from Milgard. For an attractive finish, we used bronze framing and door hardware from Arcadia Systems. We also made room for a large storefront window, where we installed bronze anodized, center glazed storefront glass to add welcoming light and an open feeling to the bottom floor.

These custom touches gave Sonoran Sun the best of both worlds. Their new commercial space maintains its beautiful antique appearance, but now boasts windows that are energy efficient and sustainable in the high Arizona temperatures.
