As much as we wish that your new replacement windows could be magically installed in your home, it does take some work. Thankfully, as the homeowner, you can count on our team of qualified professionals and great-looking new windows to leave your home more beautiful than when we arrived. However, there are a few things you may want to do in preparation for a smooth and easy installation. In order to protect your home and belongings, here are a few suggestions to complete before an installation crew arrives for your window replacement:
Remove existing fixtures.
Our team does our best to keep your home in good condition, but the homeowner is responsible for making sure security systems, window treatments and furniture near the installation sites are removed before the crew arrives. This ensures no objects will be damaged during installation, and that our team can get to work on your new windows as soon as possible. In addition to a 3-foot area around the windows, our team also needs a clear pathway to each room and window.
Communicate with our team.
True View has our own protocols for jobsites, but we can’t read your mind! Please communicate with your installers about your needs as the homeowner. If you have landscaping near your windows that the team should be extra cautious around, let them know. If you need them to stage our trucks and store equipment is a designated area, please point them in the right direction.
Consider your pets.
The True View crew loves meeting your pets! However, remember that your home will have installation technicians entering and exiting throughout the day. If you have pets, make sure they are in a secure area, and let us know where they are, and of any special concerns.
